The foundation was set up in 2006 by Valentina Nisi and Martine Posthuma de Boer, as a follow up of the successful collaboration in the Locating Storiesat Virtueel Platform..

Valentina Nisi is originally a visual artist, but has been focussing on narrativity and new media at both Trinity College Dublin and Media Lab Europe the past 6 years. She has finished a PhD on interactive narratives for mobile technology.

Martine Posthuma de Boer works as programme manager at new media network organisation Virtueel Platform, in Amsterdam. She is responsible for setting up and producing various new media events. The past half year she has been teaching new media working groups at the University of Amsterdam (UvA).

The third member of the foundation is Ian Oakley. With a background in both psychology and computer science, he now works researching multi-modal interfaces. Ian and Valentina collaborated together on the project Media Portrait of the Liberties.
